OKEMOS, MI - After accepting the coaching job at Okemos, Jeff Wonch is ready to settle in as the boys varsity basketball coach at Okemos High School. Wonch is excited to be a part of Okemos athletics and will still continue teaching health and physical education at Potterville High School. "Keeping them playing before the season actually starts." "It's just getting them into the gym," said Wonch. Wonch says his players are experienced due to the fact they have been playing basketball for most of their lives, but do not have a lot of real game experience due to all the talented seniors on the 2012 season. "The exciting part is once you get to know them you find out what good kids they are and find out how hard they work." "The first two weeks were a lot of getting to know the guys, which is hard, but fun," said Wonch. OKEMOS, MI - Two weeks after accepting the coaching job at Okemos High School and taking over the reigns from legendary Okemos basketball coach Dan Stolz, Jeff Wonch is starting to settle in with his new position.
